Privacy Policy
Last updated October 2, 2026
This policy explains what information StreamShield collects, why, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
StreamShield is operated by StreamShield.xyz as a Rifflift product, and is responsible for your personal data as described here. You can reach us at support@streamshield.xyz.
2. What we collect
What you give us
- Your email address.
- Your Spotify artist profile link.
- Your distributor, and your chosen option for how we handle detections.
- Anything you write to us in an email.
Payment details
- PayPal handles your payment. We receive an order ID and confirmation that it was paid. We never see your card number or PayPal password.
Public Spotify data
- Information about your artist profile and the playlists that carry your music: your name and picture, followers, monthly listeners, tracks and playlist placements.
Technical data
- Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested.
3. How we use it
- To run the service: scan your catalog, build your report and tell you what we find.
- To send you email: your confirmation and receipt, updates about your report and replies to your questions.
- To take payments, process refunds and keep records.
- To prevent fraud and abuse and keep the service secure.
- To meet legal obligations.
4. Our legal bases
If the GDPR or a similar law applies to you, we rely on: contract (to provide what you paid for), legitimate interests (to keep the service secure and improve it), legal obligation (for example, financial records) and consent where we ask for it.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We use these service providers to run StreamShield:
- PayPal for payments.
- Resend to send email.
- Render for hosting and our database.
- Spotify, whose public API we query using your artist ID.
- Google Fonts and content delivery networks that load fonts and scripts, and so receive your IP address when you visit.
We share your information with Spotify or your distributor only when you ask us to report a playlist, or when the law requires it.
6. Report pages are public
Your report is shown at a web address based on your public Spotify artist ID, and anyone with that address can view it. It contains public Spotify information and our findings. It does not contain your email address, payment details or distributor. To have it removed, email support@streamshield.xyz.
7. Cookies and tracking
Our pages do not currently use advertising or analytics trackers. PayPal’s checkout may set its own cookies, which are covered by PayPal’s privacy policy.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your subscription details for as long as your protection is active, and afterwards for as long as we need them for support, accounting and legal reasons. You can ask us to delete your data at any time, except for records we are legally required to keep.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, receive a copy of it, and withdraw consent. Email support@streamshield.xyz and we will respond within a reasonable time. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Security and transfers
We use reasonable measures to protect your data, such as encrypted connections and access controls, but no system is completely secure. Our providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States.
11. Children
StreamShield is not directed at anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has given us information, tell us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will change the date at the top, and for active customers we will email you about material changes.
13. Contact
